Zoology is one of the popular optional subjects opted for by UPSC aspirants with a life science background. It is a high-scoring subject and is also eligible for IFoS aspirants. Although anyone can opt for this subject as an optional, due to its technical nature, only life science and medical graduates should be encouraged to go for this one.
